Poor Emma. My father and I had to take Emma to the emergency vet today. My dad was taking me to Chik-fil-a. First let me explain, my mother is in connecticut with my sister who is pregnant. As my dad and I were leaving, we were putting the dogs in the kitchen and we were putitng the wooden gate up so the dogs couldn't get out of the kitchen. The gate wasn't latched and it started to fall. We went to grab it and missed. It landed on Emma's head. Emma started convulsing and not breathing. As I pick her up my dad drives to the car and I hold her, doing mouth to mouth. About half way there (its only about a 5 - 10 minute drive) she starts breathing. THANK GOODNESS. We rush into the emergency and I p ass her off to the doctor. We wait 30 minutes and find out she has a concussion and 2 big bruises on her head. She's breathing but incredibly depressed. They get x--rays which come out fine nothing broken. put her on steroids for the swelling and fluids. she'sll be staying the night. They put i a catheder(spelling i know). and let me hold her before we left. I was so upset that i was just shaking really bad. I breathed a sigh of relief saying that right now she doesnt have any brain damage.
The entire time I was praying. I thank God for miracles.
I sill think of her as i sit here typing this. i want to sit there, and comfort her .
